Technical assistant / Hoist technician
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Technical Assistant to join our new establishment in La Vergne TN. You will play a key role, assisting our Operations Manager to ensure efficient day-to-day running of the warehouse department. As a supplier of electric chain hoists and lifting equipment, a substantial portion of the work will be assembling, testing and servicing electric chain hoists.
Key Responsibilities:
- General warehouse activities such as preparing orders and Goods in/Goods out.
- Operate warehouse equipment including Forklift (training can be provided if needed)
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
- Assemble, modify and commission new electric chain hoists and control systems ready for sale
- Service and repair of customers electric chain hoists
- Accurately complete job sheets, inspection reports and test records
- Technical support to for clients
- Adhere to and carry out good practice of health and safety regulations at all times
What We’re Looking For:
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual work.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, but also alone as instructed by management.
- Previous experience with use, repair and maintenance of electric chain hoist and lifting equipment is a distinct advantage.
- Mechanical and electrical qualifications an advantage.
- Personal attributes: Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, self-motivated, excellent communication, proactive, detail-oriented, good vision.
